“Two Peas in a Pod” is a character driven slice of life film that examines how two people can put aside their conflict to protect and provide for someone they both love.

I was attracted to this film partially by how much responsibility was placed on the shoulders of the actors. As a director, I’m always looking for projects that will stretch me, and Two Peas in a Pod certainly did that. I knew going into it that my major challenge would be having to get both Chantey and Robin into a deeply emotional headspace and keeping them there over a full day of filming.

To their credit, both Chantey and Robin were prepared for the difficult character work they were going to undertake and brought everything they had to the table to bring their characters to life.

To me the most enjoyable part of the production was spending time with passionate actors exploring the complexities of their characters and delving into the emotions of people they were creating in real time before my eyes.

The end result is a film I’m honored to have directed, and one that I believe everyone involved can be equally proud of.
